How does it work?

This treatment is performed using the herb Artemisia Vulgaris, or mugwort, which is proven to enhance healing with acupuncture. By generating heat through moxibustion, this treatment can help increase the smooth, healthy flow of qi in the body.

Moxa can be administered in a variety of ways; typically, the moxa is rolled into a cigar-like shape, lit, and held over specific acupuncture points on your body until it burns out on its own. Most patients experience a warm and pleasant feeling during the treatment, lasting between 5-15 minutes.
